ViewsErgonomicsFrom VFRwiki[edit] HELIBARSHELIBARS are a common way to create a slightly more comfortable upright riding position. These can replace the stock handlbars without having to add longer hydraulic or electrical lines. On the 5th generation VFRs the hand grips become 1 1/8" taller with a 1 1/2" rear set. These small measurements help the lower back and reduce pressure on the hands, thus becoming conducive to long distance touring. These plus a taller windscreen such as a Givi, plus gel grips all add up to a more comfortable man-machine interface. (as a retired Human Factors Engineer...I had to put that in). PorscheBob. A popular version for 6th Gen VFR's retains all previous electrical and hydraulic lines. Lowering clamps are used to return the clutch and brake reservoirs to stock height.
[edit] CRUISE CONTROLTHROTTLEMEISTER cruise control is a great way to give the throttle hand a rest on a long ride. It's easy to install and very simple to operate, even when wearing winter or rain gloves. It is high quality and reliable, plus it looks like it came originally from Honda.
